In May 2009, a new organisational structure was introduced to the old Civic Centre. Burnie Sports & Events, a separate entity was contracted to manage functions and events, together with catering. While many Council staff became BSE staff, in essence, their jobs did not change.
BSE is a company committed to encouraging participation, lifting promotion and professional management of sport and related events associated with Burnie. To enhance the viability and sustainability of sporting activities and organisations by providing professional support services focused on excellence in management, promotion and sponsorship.

Roslyn has been with BSE since September 2007 previously working for Council for 91/2 years. This position brings new and interesting challenges which are faced with a positive outlook. BSE have a great team and work well together to bring community and sporting events to fruition.
Management of venues is also one of the many things that BSE are responsible for and provide catering and venue hire for members of the community.
