Special soiree to celebrate TSO performance

Dust off your best outfit for the party of the year.

The Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra is returning to Burnie for one performance on Thursday August 9 at 7:30pm at the Burnie Arts & Function Centre and to celebrate a special Symphony Soiree Cocktail Party will be held prior to the performance.

Deputy Mayor Sandra French said, “I am looking forward to getting dressed up for a lovely evening of great company, delicious refreshments and an evening of orchestral music as part of the TSO regional series.”

Director of the Burnie Arts & Function Centre Greg Leong said, “Come and enjoy a glamorous Symphony Soiree Cocktail Party in the beautiful surrounds of the Burnie Regional Art Gallery before being entertained by the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra’s concert of orchestral gems by Mozart, Tchaikovsky and Elgar.

“Tickets to the cocktail party are separate to the show, but can be purchased through the box office. By coming to both the Symphony Soiree Cocktail Party and the concert you could win some fabulous prizes.”

  • Two winners will each receive a CD set of Beethoven’s complete symphonies played by the TSO.
  • Six double passes to any four of the following Burnie Arts & Function Centre’s 2012 Subscription Season Performances: The Bugalugs Bum Thief, Virtuosi Tasmania, Suade, Marion Martin: Hips Harmony and Hitler or the Grigoryan Brothers.
