One of Australia’s most loved comedians hits Burnie & Rosebery

One of Australia’s favourite comedians, Dave O’Neil will perform at the Burnie Arts & Function Centre on Friday 2 May at 8pm.

Dave O’Neil has been in the business of comedy for over 20 years, has performed at 15 Melbourne International Comedy Festivals and is one of Australia’s most recognisable stand-up comics.

He has also performed at International Comedy Festivals, comedy clubs across the nation and has been a regular on successful TV shows such as Spicks and Specks (most appearances as a guest), Good News Week and Adam Hills in Gordon St Tonight. Recently he has been Team Captain in the comedy quiz show, Tractor Monkeys and has also been dishing out life advice on The Agony of Life on ABC TV.

He has written several books, films, and sketch comedy shows and has even starred alongside Eric Bana.

Burnie Arts & Function Centre Director, Geoff Dobson said, “Dave is a truly unique comedian, with the ability to create an atmosphere like being in a relaxed yet hilarious conversation among friends. He is certainly one of our most accomplished stand-ups.”

Deputy Mayor Sandra French said, “Dave’s observational humour and genuine humility makes his show truly good-spirited fun. Standup comedy performances have been very popular in the past in Burnie. So get in quick!”

Dave O’Neil will also be performing a show in Rosebery on Saturday 3 May at the ‘Hawks Nest’ Rosebery Toorak Clubrooms. Tickets are available from the Football Club, the Rosebery Newsagency and Top Pub Rosebery. This show has a special offer of $30 for a dinner and show or $20 for the show.
