Exclusive Q and A with Richard Gill announced

Monday, 16 February 2015

The Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra (TSO) will host a free Afternoon with Richard Gill in the Burnie Regional Art Gallery directly following the performance, A Taste of Italy, on Sunday 15 March at 4:30pm.

Mayor Anita Dow said, “Richard is regarded as one of Australia’s best classical musical educators. He will enlighten the audience about his career and achievements in this special event, in a conversation led by TSO Managing Director, Nicholas Heyward.”

There will be an opportunity for questions from the audience, and signed copies of his Richard’s memoir, Give Me Excess of It, will be available to purchase.

Director of the Burnie Arts & Function Centre and Burnie Regional Art Gallery Geoff Dobson said, “This is the only Q and A Richard is doing in Tasmania as part of his tour with the TSO.

“Richard would be familiar to many from his guest appearances on Spicks and Specks. We are extremely lucky to be able to hold this event. I would recommend booking your spot quickly, as seats will be in demand.”

This is a free event, presented by the Burnie Arts Council in association with the TSO. Places are strictly limited, and booking IS essential. Refreshments will be provided.

A Taste of Italy is presented by the TSO as part of the Tasmanian International Arts Festival, Burnie Town Hall.
